PNC Mortgage, previously National City Mortgage is one of the worst companies to deal with in BOTH a loan modification as well as a short sale situation. Our loan mod took 3 attempts due to lost paperwork and poor customer service. It ended up to be a win for the bank, but only band aid approach to what was a financial crisis. After the loan modification, we were still underwater with our mortgage, hired a realtor, had an appraisal by PNC for $505,000, had an offer on the property for $490,000, kept the buyers in limbo for 8-9 months until they walked away because the greedy bank wouldn't except the offer because we didn't qualify for a "HARDSHIP" We tried 3 times to submit paperwork over the last year, beginning with hardship due to my husband's surgery from broken leg, loss of income, etc. Their game is cruel and is a no win...they are inept at communicating and collecting information from the consumer. Now trying for another short sale through a second realtor or a deed in lieu of foreclosure, but don't hold much confidence in either being a success. Yes to a Class Action Law Suit which should include pain and suffering of the customer. Shameful! 1298940

Sue...i'm right there with you. We had our house sold via short sale. Buyers had approved loan, all appraisals, closing date etc. PNC had given a date of 2-13-12 by CoB to have an approval letter from the 2nd lender. The 2nd lender faxed their approval on 2-13-12 @ 1:10pm. PNC foreclosed on the home @ 1:00pm. I've got all my documents and emails from PNC (to and from) as do my agent, the agent of the buyers, and the 2nd lender. obviously there's a lot more to my story but we've done everything we've been asked to do. It's my belief that PNC wanted the home to go to foreclosure from the start and that I just didn't make it easy for them to do so and they had to 'get creative'. And by 'creative' I mean lie. It's the only way i can explain it based on the documentation I have from them. While I wouldn't wish this on anyone I hope that if there are others out there that have gone through something similar with PNC that they will come forward.
