I can't tell if PNC is completely inept or deceitful. I had a mortgage with them since 2007, when it was sold to PNC by National City. No payments were ever made late until I was laid off from my job in October 2010. At that time i sent in a written request for a mortgage adjustment. I was told of all the paperwork I needed to submit, and I did so within 2 weeks as requested. After hearing nothing for 3 months, I contacted PNC again, and was told they didn't really know where my request was, and to resubmit everything. I did so. Another 2 months went by; all this time I was paying the mortgage on time using bank savings and 401 accounts. I contactedthen again". Two weeks later, a letter arrived saying they weren't going to do anything, that my income was too low! I should have realized that PNC always intended to foreclose/. I continued making payments until last September, and two major repairs required on the house pushed my finances over the line where I could no longer pay the mortgage?. Never the less, I got a realtor to work with them on a short sale/. After 3 offers were made and withdrawn becuase PNC would not make any agreement ON ANY OF THE OFFERS, they are now apparently foreclosing/. This even though the lastest batch of paperwork PNC requested, including paystubs from the job I finally got, were submitted as requested;. And of course since September PNC has monthly reported late payment to all 3 credit bureaus". I have never experienced a company so little concerned with helping the customer:. Of course my credit is now trashed and I owe PNC for this one! Stay away from them!!!! They are truly horrible. 1298ac4
